At the 2023 Spirit of Success Award Gala, facilitated by the Huron Chamber of Commerce, Gateway Centre of Excellence in Rural Health (CERH) was the winner of the Downtown Goderich BIA Award. This auspicious award is presented to a business operating in the downtown core of Goderich that enhances the health, quality of life and welfare of our community.
Since 2008, Gateway CERH has been operating as a not-for-profit with the mission of promoting the health and quality of life of rural residents through research, education and communication.
Some of the programs that achieved this award centered around promoting community wellbeing from Gateway CERH include the Discovery Healthcare Camp, GREAT Local Food Project and the burgeoning Mental Health First Aid.
