Gateway Centre of Excellence in Rural Health (CERH) welcomes two new research assistants to the Gateway CERH Team, Meagan Tamming and Neeliah Lewis.
Meagan recently graduated from Lakehead University with a Bachelor of Science in Psychology. Meagan has developed a passion for rural health issues particularly within Indigenous health and substance abuse prevention.

Neeliah recently graduated from the University of Western Ontario with a Bachelor of Health Sciences degree. During her academic career, Neeliah has developed a passion for rural health issues particularly within mental health and wellbeing, preventive health care and health ethics.
“I am so excited to be working with Gateway CERH! Each Member of the team brings unique perspectives and a shared passion for driving positive change in rural health. I can’t wait to see what we can accomplish together and the lasting impact we will make during my time with Gateway CERH.”
Meagan and Neeliah have hit the ground running and will be taking over the BRAVE-F – Benefiting Rural Area Volunteer Emergency Firefighters, Farmer Safety and Well-being, and S.H.A.R.P. - Skilled Healthcare Attraction and Retention programs.
