
DISCOVERY HEALTHCARE CAMP
Discovery Healthcare Camp is a week-long immersive summer camp experience, running from July 6-10, 2026, at Camp Klahanie in Goderich, designed to engage and mentor high school students to consider healthcare career opportunities available to them, learn basic clinical skills and have fun! Sponsorship for campers available upon request.
Project Background
Our team is dedicated to engaging youth in our community through enriching projects that spark interest in healthcare careers. These initiatives provide young people with valuable hands-on experiences and insights into the field of healthcare. Recently, we celebrated our second year as a proud community partner of the Discovery Healthcare Camp in Goderich. This inspiring program, led by first- and second-year medical students from Western University’s Schulich School of Medicine & Dentistry, is supported by the Office of Distributed Education and offers youth a unique glimpse into the world of medicine and patient care.
Project Goals
