Gateway Centre of Excellence in Rural Health (CERH) is excited to announce that a new Youth Wellness Program is coming soon to our rural community — and we want YOUR voice to help shape it! This program will offer a safe and welcoming space for youth to explore wellness practices like yoga, meditation, and journaling. Whether you're looking to manage stress, build self-awareness, or just take a break from the noise of daily life, this is a chance to connect, breathe, and reflect. But before we launch, we want to hear from you!

Take Our Short Survey

We’re inviting Huron County youth, parents, and community members to share their thoughts through a quick survey. This feedback will help us better understand the community’s needs and build a program that truly supports youth where they’re at.

Share your thoughts to help shape programs that support the mental, emotional, and physical well-being of local youth. This survey takes just a few minutes. Feel free to share this survey or blog post with others to have a bigger impact in our community!

Why Wellness?

In today’s fast-paced world, creating space for mindfulness and emotional health is more important than ever, especially for rural youth. “Unfortunately, physical activity levels decline over adolescence, particularly among females. Teens report dropping out of sports and physical activities due to increased competition, not feeling “good enough,” and lack of time related to greater academic demands.”(University of Waterloo, 2023, p.4).

As we know, the COVID-19 pandemic had lasting effects on youth’s mental and physical health, further exacerbating these issues within rural communities. “A review of 116 articles on mental health outcomes for children and youth related to the pandemic identified a higher percentage of children and youth with depressive symptoms and increased levels of anxiety.” (Wellington–Dufferin–Guelph Public Health, 2023, p.4). Through simple, supportive practices like movement, breath work, and reflection, we can build resilience, self-esteem, and community connection within rural youth.

Thank you for helping us grow a healthier, more mindful future

Stay tuned for updates — the program is coming soon!

I discovered https://billionairespin.com.gr when I was planning my holiday in Greece and came across an ad while checking hotel options. Out of curiosity, I decided to explore the slots section. At first, I lost a couple of spins, but then a bonus feature triggered and gave me enough to cover the earlier losses. The excitement of that turnaround made me want to keep playing, and I ended up enjoying it far more than I expected.
