It is our pleasure to announce Dr. Mike Beazely, associate professor at the Waterloo School of Pharmacy, is joining the Gateway CERH team as the newest Rural Health Research Chair of Rural Substance Use.
An educator and expert in the field of pharmacology, Dr. Beazely has more recently endeavoured to focus on the role of health professionals in reducing harms associated with problematic substance use. Additionally, since 2009, Dr. Beazely has been involved with community interventions on substance use such as the Waterloo Region Integrated Drugs Task Force.
We look forward to working with Dr. Beazely on community health projects in our rural regions.
