Gateway CERH Supports Farm Safety Day

A rainy day didn't stop Farm Safety Day at the Seaforth Agriplex. On Friday, June 7th, Research Assistant, Sage Milne, Joel Hordjik, and Amy Sturgeon joined in Progressive Agricultural Safety Day where elementary school students learned everything about preventing accidents, injuries, sunburns (to name just a few)!.

In this "Safety Era", Gateway CERH Research Assistants provided a presentation on promoting mental wellness and balancing a busy life filled with school, family time, sports and homework.

Farming can be stressful and dangerous. It is important to encourage knowledge about farm safety to prevent accidents and injuries, sunburns or otherwise. Through many projects such as SHED Talks, Gateway CERH aims to promote the wellbeing of farmers.
