On December 3, 2025, the team at Gateway Centre of Excellence in Rural Health (CERH) had the pleasure of visiting Goderich Legion Branch 109 to receive a generous donation valued at $5,000. This support is a significant boost to Gateway CERH’s mission to deliver high-quality programs and research that benefit seniors, veterans, and the wider community.
The donation will help Gateway CERH continue its important work, providing opportunities for education, social connection, and community engagement, while also exploring new initiatives that respond to local needs.
Reflecting on the donation, Randy Carroll, President of the Goderich Legion Branch 109, said, "It’s great to be able to continue our support for Gateway CERH. Our partnership has gone a long way to helping us offer our veterans and seniors within the community an opportunity to educate themselves, meet people, and learn new things."
Karissa Overholt, Operations Manager of Gateway CERH, shared her gratitude and insight into how the donation will advance the organization’s impact, "This donation reflects a shared commitment to improving the well-being of our community and with this support, Gateway CERH can continue growing our programs and making a greater impact within the communities we care deeply about."
Gateway CERH extends heartfelt thanks to the Goderich Legion Branch 109 for their ongoing dedication and generosity.
