
Dr. Ross Avery, PhD. MD MPH CCFP
Current Position, Current Projects
Dr. Avery was a long time student at the University of Guelph, eventually graduating with a PhD. in Nutritional Sciences. He then completed his MD degree at the University of Manitoba and his Residency in Family Medicine at McMaster. During his medical career Dr. Avery has mainly worked in rural and northern Ontario communities always emphasizing prevention with his patients. While in practice he completed a Masters in Public Health at the University of Toronto. Dr. Avery is joining Gateway with the goal of further pursuing his interests in rural health and prevention by supporting Gateway's research endeavours in this area.
