Dr. Durhane Wong-Rieger is President and CEO of the Institute for Optimizing Health Outcomes. She is also President of the Canadian Organization for Rare Disorders and founder of the Consumer Advocare Network, a national network to promote patient engagement in healthcare policy and advocacy. Internationally, she serves as a Board Member of the International Alliance of Patient Organizations. Durhane is a certified Health Coach and licensed T-Trainer with the Stanford-based Living a Healthy Life with Chronic Conditions. Durhane has served on multiple health policy advisory committees, has lead many workshops, has wrote two books and many articles and has previously been a professor at the University of Windsor.
